Autocraft 3sgte’s are rebuilt using ARP fasteners  and calibrated  torque wrenches, if we are doing  your engine rebuild you can rest assured that its in good hands, we will take photos  of the engine rebuild that way you know exactly what's gone into it and when you come to sell it you have some proof of the work.

all engines are built to spec all clearances are measured we do not take any chances with your engine, we set the piston end gaps to each cylinder, we hone the block using the correct stones and specs set out by the ring manufacturers,we balance each rod to piston and then the rod and piston to each bore, everything is hot tanked/solvent washed,assembled with assembly lube and torqued with precision and care, the full rotating assembly is balanced and checked.

 All in all you will find that the engine is built to a very high standard in terms of the steps taken, very few people that build engines go through the steps that we go through to build an engine.

all  3sgte engines that are required to perform above 400bhp for long periods are sleeved using  custom darton sleeves or we switch the blocks to 5s series,  this modification is  necessary and done in order to cure the weak sleeve/block cracking problem that almost all 3sgte blocks suffer from(this modification has been tested to 2.1bar of boost and 700+bhp)

please look closely at the sleeves we use, we guarantee they will not break no matter what boost you run, they have run 2.1 bar without a problem we are the only people in the uk or even europe to use these custom liners made by Darton sleeves in the usa.
